Why Volunteer

The Edmonton Permaculture Guild is built by people who show up. Every workshop, event, and community gathering happens because volunteers lend their time and skills.

Volunteering is also one of the best ways to learn.

Youll work alongside experienced practitioners, pick up new skills, and become part of a community that shares your values.

Ways to Get Involved

Event Support

Help us run workshops, potlucks, and community gatherings. Event volunteers assist with setup, registration, refreshments, cleanup, and participant support.

No experience required.

Permablitz Crew

Join a Permablitz team and help transform a yard or community space in a single day. Youll dig, plant, build, and learn alongside other volunteers.

Hard work, good company, real results.

Committee Work

Lend your professional skills to Guild operations. We have committees focused on:

  • Marketing – Communications, social media, outreach
  • Events – Planning and coordination
  • Education – Workshop development and programming

Workshop Facilitation

Have a skill to share? We welcome community members who want to lead workshops on topics like seed saving, composting, fermentation, natural building, food preservation, and more.

PDC Support

Our Permaculture Design Course is the cornerstone of our education programming.

We need volunteers to assist with logistics, site preparation, participant support, and meal coordination during course sessions.
