Dr. Adolphus Ifeka is a highly skilled and multidisciplinary professional with expertise in meteorology, climate science, community engagement, and environmental advocacy. With a Ph.D. in Meteorology and multiple professional certifications, including the Microsoft Certified IT Professional and the World Meteorological Organization Class 1 certification, he brings a strong foundation in climate resilience, sustainability, and data-driven decision-making.
Through volunteering as President of the Edmonton Permaculture Guild, Dr. Adolphus aspires to contribute to a more sustainable Edmonton by advocating for nature-based solutions, fostering educational outreach, and leveraging his extensive background in climate science and environmental policy.

Dr. Adolphus has amassed extensive experience in meteorology, climate research, and community-based initiatives, demonstrating a commitment to advancing environmental stewardship. His tenure at the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) spanned over a decade, where he progressed from Meteorologist I to Principal Meteorologist. In these roles, he was responsible for climate data analysis, policy recommendations, and public outreach to enhance climate literacy.
As a Climate Reality Leader since 2020, he has actively participated in climate advocacy, raising awareness about climate change and sustainable practices through workshops, community engagement, and public education.
He volunteers as a Climate Connector at the City of Edmonton: Change for climate and Edmonton Climate Hub, where he is involved in advocacy for reducing greenhouse emissions, conserving energy, increasing energy efficiency, and shifting to renewable energy sources.
In Canada, Dr. Adolphus has continued his mission-driven work, leveraging his scientific expertise to support environmental initiatives. He is currently working as a Climate Science Expertise AI Trainer at Outlier, where he contributes to climate modeling and knowledge dissemination.
His involvement with Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Counsel’s Career Mentorship Program enabled him to adapt to the Canadian workforce, develop cross-sectoral networks, and enhance his leadership capabilities.
He has also been actively pursuing roles that integrate community service, youth engagement, and climate resilience, reflecting his deep commitment to both environmental and social sustainability.
Dr. Adolphus’s passion for sustainability extends beyond academia and research.
